When people want to commission custom wall art, they usually have a question: Can I Commission Custom Artwork from an Artwork Factory?
Yes, you can.
Many artwork factories accept custom commissions. At Wallartura, you can submit a reference image and request changes to the subject, size, colors, material, or frame. Available options depend on the artwork and production method.
Here’s how it usually works:
- Describe your idea: Share the subject, style, dimensions, and details you want to include.
- Get a quote: The factory reviews your requirements and prices the work based on material, size, complexity, and quantity.
- Place your order: Approve the specifications and pay the agreed deposit or full amount.
- Review and receive your artwork: Check the finished work through photos or videos before shipment. Production and delivery times depend on the order.
Commissioning Artwork That Fits Your Space
You can adapt an existing design or request a new composition. For example, a landscape painting could have a wider format, softer colors, or a different frame to suit your living room.
If you need a starting point, browse Wallartura’s wall art collection and note which features you would like to keep or change.
Prepare Your Custom Artwork Request
Include these details so the factory can assess and quote your project:
- Reference image: Explain what to keep, remove, or change.
- Dimensions: Give the width and height, specifying whether they include the frame.
- Material: State whether you want a hand-painted oil painting, canvas print, or another finish.
- Quantity: Specify the number of pieces and designs.
- Destination: Provide your delivery ZIP code and preferred arrival date.
Include your budget if you have one. This helps the supplier suggest suitable materials and framing options.
Check What the Price Includes
Ask whether the quote covers framing, packaging, and shipping, and whether design work or revisions cost extra. For international orders, clarify which destination charges you would need to pay.
Also, confirm the minimum order quantity for your chosen design and material.
Confirm the Design and Revision Terms
Before paying, make sure the written order lists the composition, dimensions, material, frame, price, payment schedule, and estimated shipping date.
For hand-painted work, ask when you can review progress and request changes. Confirm how many revisions are included and which changes carry extra charges.
If you need reproduction or commercial usage rights, request written terms.
Allow Time for Production and Shipping
Production time and transit time are separate. A custom oil painting also needs sufficient drying time before packing, so share any firm deadline before ordering.
Before shipment, review overall and close-up photos of the artwork and frame. Confirm the packaging method and the process for reporting damage on arrival.
